yea punisher is a good example. Awesome character, really, although I think by most people’s estimation, he’d be a hero.

I mostly just said meh to lecter because I don’t feel like this is the best medium for such a complex character.

Actually, the more I think of it, the lecter from Hannibal would fit pretty well, so I officially move hannibal off the meh list to the bottom of the OMG list

I’m pretty sure they were just showing that the spartans held disdain for the athenians’ liberal ways. Whether that would have been factual or not, I don’t know. It actually seems to me that the spartans may not have been the conservative, family-oriented people that they made them out to be.

I hate to say it, but I HIGHLY doubt someone like Light, who is pretty well unknown, would get voted into the game. I mean, I can name 20 star wars characters that would be voted in before an obscure character like that. I think anime could get in, but it would have to be someone MANY people would recognize, not just a specific community. Someone like the chick from ghost in the shell or maybe the main characters from things like vampire hunter D or Cowboy Bebop, which had large followings in America. Or heck, Dragon Ball Z, even (even though dbz is freakin’ retarded).

I think my confusion on this subject is why do feel you must convince others? I will tell you that my personal opinion is that people are born as what they’re born as and any issues beyond that stem from psychological trauma incurred at some point or another in their lives. But, I always try to be accepting of others, regardless of my opinions, as there’s no benefit in pushing my opinions on other people.

Given that, I think it can be agreed upon by most people that confidence is something that everyone must strive for and if you must change your natural sexual orientation to achieve that confidence, then do it. However, expect that people will not be accepting. True confidence is being who you are and understanding that fact, but going on anyway, knowing you’re being true to yourself. I know it’s easier said than done, but don’t let the opinions of others affect your opinion of yourself.

I can understand your opinion. We’re not trying to say it’s necessarily an inferior media (or at least I’m not), I’m just saying that I don’t think it necessarily fits with what they’re trying to do with Fight Klub. Like it or not, it seems their aim (at least with the characters that have been revealed so far) is to really capture AMERICAN pop culture with Fight Klub. Plus, Warren specifically said he doesn’t have any plans to release animated characters unless they become EXTREMELY popular.

That said, I think it would be fun to have one set themed around non-american icons, including anime characters. Sort of call it “the internationals” or something like that.

The only other consideration I could see is if they did sidekicks. In that case, it’d be han and chewie :)
