Question. If you aren’t interested in the game anymore, what on earth compelled you to post that fact here?

That does not make it good or successful. There are many games that did ‘revolutionary’ mechanics and marketing but did not last.

At first, I think most all CCG players were hyped up to see what Fight Klub was all about, but when they found out there really was not any information (about the game itself) 40 days ago, many lost interest.

By now, most players have decided whether or not they are going to try the game.

I think it’s safe to assume there’s still plenty of interest in the game. It’s looking like it will be an awesome game and worth the wait for those of us with some patience.

So…have you been, uh, reading this forum, at all?...Given that number of posts that continue to happen, and given the content of the vast majority of the posts, it’s safe to say that there’s a lot of interest.

@All I will say I understand the frustration. I have mentioned several times before that I have had trouble hyping the game due to the lack of visual aids. Most people don’t want to pour through the rulebook they need a card to look at and say oh, yeah that’s coll I gotta get me some o’ that. However, I do believe our patience will be rewarded as 90% of the stuff I’m seeing D release leads me to believe this will be an excellent game and we have the foundation of an excellent community here.

I don’t think you can use the forum activity level here as an accurate gauge of the game’s interest level – 90% of the activity is from 10% of the users.

I agree the marketing machine may have started just a bit early, although this being grassroots it may take some time to “spin up” to full speed.

I think there will be plenty of interest when it does finally come out. The marketing itself is new for the genre, there are a lot of people who are still fans of Decipher and their products, and the 15-minute filler semi-collectible CCG niche might be due for exploitation. We’ll see :)

I agree trolls would make interesting characters in the game…

I keep telling myself it’s either gonna be a Friday or Monday when the new site goes up, when one of those days passes it becomes the other day. It might seem like it’s taking a while but I’d rather wait and have a good ccg, as there are far too few of those around these days.

Yes, I kept thinking it’d be whent he countdown ran out and ever since then i tell myself when I log on tomorrow… I’m just psyched they are combining my 2 favorite things (Decipher CCGs and movies (I own around 1900 DVDs)) into one shiny ball of goodness and I’m on the groundfloor baby!

Sorry ‘bout the earlier post—it came off a bit too flippant. My point was that as far as the question of “is anyone still interested” then of course there is still interest. Obviously there are some who are losing or have lost interest/patience with this. What I’m really looking for from Decipher right now, besides a release date and so forth, is for someone to address the issue of “We promised you this and this and this, we didn’t deliver on all of that and we’re sorry, and this is why it turned out that way.” It’s frustrating, and I’m losing interest in what’s happening right now, but my interest in the game itself is only growing.

I am losing intrest as well with the lack of rulebook, cards preview, a new site like they promised, and even a realsed date.

We’re in the calm before the storm. Already the thunder can be heard in the distance as it draws ever closer.

The one complaint I do have is that it’s hard to read through the entirety of the forums to get a grasp of how the game works. What I’ve done to get a handle on the game is to go through the friday gameplay spoilers post and then put it all into one file and then trim it down to a summary. I’ve then read over the summary a couple of times to get a handle on how the game works. Do you think it would be worth posting a summary somewhere?

If you want to, sure. I think someone else was doing something similar.

And, of course, anything you (or anyone else) don’t quite get, the rest of the forums are here to solidify your understanding. (that’s what 1/2 of the Friday spoilers are, one person states something that can be inferred by the spoiler, and the rest attempt to explain why he’s wrong, or why he’s right and what else it means)

Chasiubao, all the Friday spoilers that have been posted can already be found by following the ‘gameplay’ tab at the top of the website. Or were you talking about a more condensed version?

the main problems i have seen as to why the site isn’t active is, like others have said, no visual aid and no condensed rulebook.

the reasons why we don’t have these are simple: visual cards will be leaked first to FM’s later on in the process (and im sure SOMEBODY will put a link up) and the rulebook isn’t a possibility because they are still “writing” it (to us).

we are in the development stage here, this is the “backstage pass” and we should enjoy it while it lasts

that being said i am creating my own little “mini-rulebook” of the stuff we have learned (mainly to help myself understand) and when i am done i will post it for a look.

I’m interested in the game still but getting a little impatient. I would at least like some more card previews after waiting this long as well as the my continual participation in the forums. I haven’t got any emails from Kendrik about anything other then confirmation of me being a Founding Mentor. I would like to be able to develop a full undertstanding of the game by now but instead they drag out their release of the rules.

@Blost: Yeah, I’ve already prepared a condensed version for myself with bullet points, etc. to help me get a grasp on the game. The individual posts contain all of the information, but they’re written as verse, which makes them more difficult to digest. Maybe I’ll go post what I’ve got either here or under Friday gameplay spoilers to make lives easier. @AlphaCenturion: I definitely get the point of the forums and agree that they are neccessary and useful, but I think what’s missing is a quick way to view what’s been said without having to read extensively through all of the forums. It is probably intimidating for the 0 poster’s to get involved since they’ve got so much to read through.

Hm, maybe it would be nice of Decipher to mail out a detailed rulebook, or something of the like to those of us that are signed up here…

As for the daunting task of postin here. The best thng is just start now with what you can. As the community grows they’ll be more and more posts so the best thing to do is get in on the groundfloor and just throw yourself into the fray…

PS I’m impatient as well, it seems like forever and all we get is teased, but then again us wampas are not known for our patience (or before anyone else says it intelligence.)

Chasiubao, condensed is always better. =] I think they’re just written a different way so we can make sense of each spoiler without knowing all the rules.
