This has got to be a joke. I laughed about this when they first made the “big announcement” and told everyone how it had epic fail written all over it but no one believed me. So I thought I’d peak back in here to see if anything happened yet. Surprise surprise nothing. No new info, no rule book, no idea what characters and stuff like that are in the game, no release date, nothing. For something “4 years in the making” (I believe it was 4 years) they sure don’t know anything about it. It was pretty obvious they were just pulling stuff out of their asses. The Friday spoilers lol they probably spent all week writing rules etc just to get them out by Fridays. For everyone that thinks that this is going to change the CCG business your crazy. But I guess we will just have to wait till 2023 to find out if it really does because at the rate this is going that’s when this game will come out.

Who wants to make a bet that this game NEVER gets released?

I for one simply smile at the irony of all the “I have to wait a whole YEAR for christmas!?” threads getting tedious.

Lots of new info, little things scattered here and there. (adding in the Black Beauties, the extra relationships between Connectors and Mentors, free-form clubs, how official tournaments will work, ideas for potential expansion to the basic sets of rules, so on and so forth)

As for characters, we’ve got a list that appear in the video that previews the new site. Logically, they couldn’t post them on the site or in that video if they didn’t have the license. The odds of them getting the license WITHOUT putting them in the game doesn’t make any sense. It would be like McDonalds advertising Pasta, and then not having it on the menu.

Whether you agree with my concerns over that or not, standards need to be set if this game and the community is going to grow and they need to be set now to avoid turning away future players.

Earlier today I said I was neutral about AC’s post. But after thinking on it a while, I now agree with Smokey and Mysteron. Don’t get me wrong: the OP’s post is wholly undeserving of a civil response. Nonetheless, the small handful of us active members are representive of the entirety of the Fight Klub community, and as such we should exhibit basic forum etiquette, which includes tolerating trolls at least to the point of not feeding into their lust.

I feel the same way as Mysteron does about Tobias. He’s a good user, but he should have known better than to choose such an offensive handle. Hopefully it will be changed.

I don’t really have a side to the Tobias thing, but I do know it’s inevitable that something will happen.

I think we’ll need moderators too. We’ve had a very few incidents so far, but after this goes more mainstream, expect a ton more of those spam pill ads and other VikingKing incidents. Our makeshift “moderations” like Wampa burying the ads, or having to email Decipher every time just isn’t going to work…

Based on the fact a person’s handle is how others are brought into the game, it certainly is inevitable. If you think parents will be a little apprehensive about their kids playing a game that requires them to join a ‘gang’, how would they react if their kids were ‘recruited’ by someone calling themselves TobiasTheAnalrapist?

I have nothing against the person behind the moniker, but the name has to go.

Just to punish him for trying to use that handle in the first place, I think D should give him a humiliating name to replace it. “Lolwut” or “Roflnoob” would be my top picks.

Man, I wiffed on this one… Here’s my two cents…

1.) As for the O.P. I’m just going to create a form letter and save it to my hard drive with the patience/reward speach for the posts of this sort…
2.) As for the profanity. I do believe it should be edited. Even if its just to F* off, or something of the like. I realize it is for emphasis, but we may have kids come by, or people that are flat out offended by such language. I really can’t back the use of the language. I think either find a way around it or at least censor it in some way…
3.) For Tobias. He has explained several times and even in his profile what the name stands for. I personally have no problem with it, but could see how it could be found offensive. So I’m kinda torn on this one…But I’d have to side with a change just to fall on the safe side. Tobias is still a great guy though which is what makes it hard to fall on this side.
4.) I do agree we will need moderators. It’s sad, but you will always have problems on any forum with trolling and moderation is the only way to prevent such things from becoming large problems.

Basically: Let’s keep it clean folks so all can enjoy! :p

I support Alpha on this one. I’m fairly sure there’ve been at least 50 “Why is it taking such a long 6 months?” threads, which I think justifies profanity.

Are we going to let their idiocy make us idiots too? Let’s look at it from their point of view for just a second. Imagine you’re a troll, are you going to utilize the search button on a forum to ensure you don’t double-post something that’s already been said, and not waste space created a new thread about something that’s already been mentioned? Of course you won’t. Us using profanity means they won. What motive do they have in doing these things if not to get us to go off like AC did above, and like I have done before? If we want this to stop, we need to just let go and stop giving them what they want…
