Is it just me or does Decipher seem to be stalling? I mean, anybody remember when they released new games or expansions to those games? They had card lists, pictures, rules, and a lot more information than they do now. The only thing we have gotten so far is rules for this game. (And now some POSSIBLE game text). I don’t know if they are doing this delibertly or what, but COME ON! Even the Fight Klub web site prides itself on little information.
It seems to me that they don’t really have much of anything, and are scrambling week to week to come up with their Friday Night Spoiler post. Why else are they so adamante about not showing us a real card or game text? Do they even have enough liscenses now to even make a premiere set, let alone any expansions? I have yet to see a definate release date, either.
The only thing this game has done is sparked my curisoty to come back every friday for the new spoiler, and hope that they actually put some REAL information in there. I can look at rules all day long, but at some point we NEED to see some cards! Now, let me be blunt, I can’t wait to see some of these things. I am interested in the game, I JUST NEED MORE!

1) They are still working on some licenses.
2) They are also working on approvals. (they may have plenty of characters, but each individual license holder has to ok the look of the character card, and every card drawing from that license, even if it is in picture form only; ie, no names)
3) We’re in the development phase. Generally speaking, this is the phase the public never hears about. It seems to be going slow because they have yet to reach the phase we’re used to hearing about. Literally, they’ve opened the doors early, to give us (the players) more say-so in the game’s development.
I know how you feel. We ALL want/need more. The real trick is grasping with the fact that we’ve shown up early for dinner, and we can’t exactly expect the steaks to be done already. I, personally, have found waiting for stuff much easier once that sank in.

Kendrick’s as much as said that the main reason they can’t show us any card images yet is that they’re still waiting for approval from the licencees. By this point it’ll be approval of the images to be used, and depending on the terms of the licence they may have to get permission from the individual actors to use their images as well.
Mind you, from Kendrick’s last post about the rules document…
I think there are very few changes left, save images. ;-) Look for those in an upcoming post.
So there’s still hope.

Not to mention we got the best spoiler yet with the Gametext thread. They may not be able to show us final images but they’re willing to let us get our hands on some play mechanics.

I’m so glad several of you read this post and answered it so politely before I got here. I lose patience with seeing the same questions/complaints in a forum over and over again, then the answers have been made apparent a dozen times over…

I agree, though we need to realize that many of the people are are of the mind of Yendub do not spend as much time on the forums, and thus are not seeing the same questions asked and answered over and over like we are.

Was kinda hoping, back in like March-April mind you, that this game would see a release sometime before September. Now it looks like it’s going to land in the middle of the barrage of games I’ve been waiting for since last year that are releasing between the start of September and the end of this year, something like 3-4 mmos and a dozen other pc and console games. I haven’t bought a video game since last December and now there’s too many coming out that I want to play with too little time to do so, ...and FK is probably gonna land in the middle of them all. My wallet is already feeling empty, lol.
But to add, I really wish we could take care of a few things before the cards are finalized, like voting on gang names and setting up the new system so members can start actively recruiting with their handle. Yeah, yeah, all in due time… =]

I have to think back to the days of SW:CCG. There were many months between sets. They continued to push back release dates. When we finally got the Endor expansion, though, all those long months seemed like nothing. The time Decipher has always dedicated to its products is always well worth the wait!
