It’s time for another edition of “Slick’s Killer Decks!” Today we’ll be looking at an exceptionally unique (and powerful) deck called “Victory Through Nonexistence.” The last two decks made use of hero cards so I thought it was time to explore the dark side. Is the dark side stronger? Of course it is! Everyone knows that. ;)
Volume 0, Deck 03: “Victory Through Nonexistence”
//// Deck Construction //////// Deck Type: Villain Character: “papalorax”
Fight Stack: Nothing! Draw Stack: Nothing! Secretly in your pocket: “Fight Klub Doesn’t Exist!” (signature instant)
//// Strategy //////// Reveal your character card, “paplorax”. Shuffle your opponent’s deck. When your opponent attempts to shuffle your deck you will be disqualified because you don’t have a deck. When this happens, play “Fight Klub Doesn’t Exist!” from your pocket. Because Decipher never got 6000 founding members, they weren’t able to print the game. Thus the game doesn’t really exist and you can’t be disqualified!
“Fight Klub Doesn’t Exist!” leaves your opponent with two options. 1) They can win by acknowledging that you are correct. To do this, they must immediately destroy all the Fight Klub cards in play (both theirs and yours). 2) They can deny your claim by keeping their cards and forfeiting the match to you.
Generally speaking (9 times out of 10) this strategy is a guaranteed win because no one wants to destroy all their hard earned cards. Congratulations!
//// Known Weaknesses //////// This is a quick-play deck which wins before the first turn. This makes it a great opponent for “masteryoda” decks. Sadly, it can easily be defeated by the “Wampa Beat-Down” (another quick-play deck) as that deck wins without entering the shuffle phase. Also watch out for illogical players who are willing to win at any cost. Not only will you lose, but you’ll be out two cards as well. :(
That concludes this edition of “Slick’s Killer Decks!” Play hard, have fun, and win! See you next time!
