30 Second Videos, Commercials, banners/billboards that make you want to KNOW what they’re about.

Those are the things that entice people to TRY something new.

You can bet after FM’s have been chosen there will be a publicity blitz of handles on YouTube, MySpace, Facebook, etc…. However its the ones who actually take time and not simply slap their handle on something that will take off.

I remember those brief commercials they had for SWCCG. “I’m deploying Red 3.” “Oh, yeah? Well who’s going to fly it?” “Biggs Darklighter.”
Please do something better than that. I don’t want to break out the noose.

This could be something to really kick into effect once the game gets going…

Probably as bad as the “good ol’ days” when Wampa and I were online at the same time. (we could get in a 10 post back-n-forth conversation before anyone else could catch up; and we’d do it in several different topics at the same time)

A BRIEF EXPLANATION OF WHAT JUST HAPPENED HERE!

Before people fly off the handle about my recent post count on this particular forum please allow me 1 second to explain. there was an unauthorized add for pills posted by some low level scumbag of a troll. Since these boards are unmoderated the only course of action I could think of was to bury the post. Thusly I cycled all the older posts up in order by responding to them. This kept the newer topics at the top of the page for those following them and bumping the offending post to page 2. My apologies to any annoyed parties, but its all I could think of to do… :(

@Ac: yeah i miss the good ol’ days. :(...

Thanks. I thought it was a good idea. The trick was to reply from the bottom of the board so the posts all remained in their original position. See I think occasionally…:p

Still posting worthless post are pointless even to bury a topic. You should have just emailed Big D and I am sure they would have removed the post/thread.

I think Wampa is just trying to cover up all his worthless post since people are calling it out.

God again with the Yoda’s! Why in hades name does everyone using Yoda as an avatar have such an attitude lately (apologies to masteryoda who is cool most the time… :p)!? Look STOP BEING RUDE! I’m just here being a (semi)useful member of the community and having a little fun and I am constantly getting attacked merely because I’m the most active member on the boards! It is reeeeally getting old! If it weren’t for the high post count guys that have been here having fun since day 1 we probably wouldn’t have any boards to speak of so get over it! Without all this “worthless” stuff people wouldn’t have kept coming back. Its the guys like me, Alpha, Catabre, SMOKEY, Sweet_Stuff, Slick, Tobias, and yes even you masteryoda that have kept interest in this thing cuz what you see is worthless we see as fun and it keeps people coming back day after day even if we don’t have a precious update like you’re always demanding. We keep it going without anything being given to us and we are forming the framework of what I hope will be a fun and heaven willing long lasting community. I love seeing the guys here, I have a lot of fun posting back and forth, and I hope they do to. And I’m not gonna stop because 1 or 2 fact nazis don’t like it. Seriously I remember voting on gang names but no0t a board president. I’m getting really tired of the inactive board members jumping on the active ones. For the record I wouldn’t “cover up” my posting because I don’t agree with your theories on posting (obviously). If you’d bother reading any of my posts on that specific subject you’d realize that, but no you simply choose to mindlessly attack because you don’t like me because I post a lot and it isn’t 100% facts and figures. Do you have any idea just how petty that is? In fact this is the first time I’d ever owned an entire board like that and I explained what I did and why I did it before anyone said anything about it at all! Seriously man lighten up or jog on. Its people with attitudes like yours that would cripple a community ‘cuz no one would want to come to a board of cold figures and facts and where they are constantly harassed for having fun. Which is all we are trying to do. I actually left a board I was asked to join right before I came to this one because I posted a link to amazon.com for a movie an actor was in and everyone jumped down my throat accusing me of working for amazon.com and I left because that was a community I wanted no part of. So attacking people can scare them off and there is no need for it. So show a little respect or don’t post about me again…

But for the most part I do agree W_D, if we didn’t have all the zany games, I might have signed on once in every 3 weeks to see if there was an update, and probably would have left for good by now.

Same here. That and the post count rivalry/camraderie thing helps too.
