Hello everyone,

There are some very minor edits in this version, but the rules update has become a ritual. ;-)

Value – this term refers to a printed value for a game element, as in “your character’s Life value”.

Total – this term refers to the current, cumulative amount of a game element, as in “The player with the highest skirmish total wins the skirmish.”

Have a great weekend!

Sounds like they are almost ready to be official rules rather than draft, I’m so exited!

I have a lot of troubles trying to see the rules draft, is there another way to download the draft instead of viewing it in the browser???

Right click the link and your drop down menu should have “Save Target As…”
Your save prompt should then come up.
If this doesn’t work, you might need to change your security settings, otherwise update your Acrobat Reader.

I have some questions about the rules. I hope someone can help me with them.

In the setup phase: what happens if you don’t want or can’t play two actions in step 2?

Fight cards: There is some confusing passage about aligning your fight cards somehow. What does it mean? The best way I could come up with is that you have your right skirmish tab facing the left skirmish tab of your opponents fight card and your left tab facing the right one.

Also unclear to me is when you reveal your fight cards. When both players have placed them on the table or do you pick the column for fight one and reveal them, then column for fight two etc…

I’ve made some observations about the rulebook that might be helpful for the development. Summarizing the playability of cardtypes according to the rules:

Condition:
only during “Setup Phase • Step 2”

Gear:
only during “Setup Phase • Step 2”

Effect:
only during “Combat Phase • Enhance Step”

Instant:
during “Setup Phase • Step 2” if it’s an Instant•Setup
during “Combat Phase • Enhance Step” if it’s an Instant•Enhance
during “Combat Phase • Score Step” if it’s an Instant•Score
during “Cooldown Phase • Step 1” if it’s an Instant•Cooldown

Why not append a “•Setup” to all gear and conditions and a “•Enhance” to all Effects”. Then you could drastically simplify the rulebook because every card would already tell you when It can be played.

Do this twice – Play one Condition OR one Gear OR one Instant•Setup OR Play one Setup action.

would then become simply:

Do this twice – Play one Setup card or Setup action.

Wouldn’t that be much simpler to remember?
